[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Sh Suhyup Bank on the 20th donated 60 million KRW to the Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation as a public interest fund for ‘Sh Marine Plastic Zero (Zero)’.
About 10 officials, including Kim Jin-gyun, President of Suhyup Bank, and Han Ki-jun, Chairman of the Corporation, attended the donation ceremony held in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
This fund was established according to the agreement signed with the Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation in March last year. A support fund for marine environment protection is created within 0.05% of the annual average balance of sales of Suhyup’s ‘Sh Marine Plastic Zero (Zero)’ savings and deposits.
President Kim Jin-gyun emphasized, “This product is an eco-friendly financial product for employees and customers to practice environmental conservation,” and added, “We will continue to work closely with the Corporation to do our best to protect the marine environment.”
