Previously, last year, she was the top-ranked athlete in the 400m hurdles at the national elementary, middle, and high school athletics competitions by grade, and second place in the 400m hurdles at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Minister’s Cup, making her a next-generation athletics prospect representing South Korea.
On this day, Mayor Seo said, “I am proud and honored that she achieved excellent results at the national competition and widely promoted the county’s prestige,” adding, “Winning during a time when everyone is struggling due to the spread of COVID-19 seems to give courage and strength to our residents, which is very encouraging.”
He continued, “I also thank the Sports Council and the coaches who worked hard to guide and support the athletes,” and added, “We will continue to spare no effort in supporting the development of athletics and sports in Hamyang in every possible way.”
In response, Park said, “Thanks to the support of Hamyang County, the Sports Council, and the coaches, I was able to achieve good results,” and added, “I will continue to hone my skills and strive to bring honor to my school and county.”
