According to the gaming industry on the 20th, the Fair Trade Commission conducted an on-site investigation at Nexon's headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province on the same day.
Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the People Power Party, recently requested the Fair Trade Commission to investigate Nexon's "MapleStory," "Dungeon & Fighter," "Mabinogi," Netmarble's "Modoo Marble," and NCSoft's "Lineage M·2M," among others.
The Fair Trade Commission is reportedly examining whether Nexon violated the Electronic Commerce Act and other regulations.
Previously, in 2018, the Fair Trade Commission imposed a fine of 939 million won on Nexon Korea for falsely displaying information about probability-type items.
