[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Geun-gi) announced on the 20th that it recently held an exhibition and demonstration of safety equipment to improve the safety of farm work in front of the Gokseong Nonghyup Agricultural Products Distribution Center.
The event was conducted as part of a pilot project for customized safety management practices by crop type. This pilot project differs from general agricultural support projects in that professional consultants participate.
Fifteen farms from the Isulmeon Melon Cooperative participated in the demonstration. Equipment suppliers explained the advantages and disadvantages of electric carriers, conveyors, agricultural sprayers, and farm work safety aids, and conducted live demonstrations. Additionally, professional consultants evaluated the safety and appropriateness of equipment use and provided guidance on the series of work processes and safe working methods.
A representative from the Gokseong Agricultural Technology Center stated, “Safety accidents during farm work frequently occur during the busy farming season. Through on-site demonstrations, we aim to select suitable and safe equipment by crop type, thereby contributing to the creation of a safe farm work environment.”
