[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Songdo International Camping Site, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the sea and sunset, is reopening after more than five years.
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced on the 20th that Songdo International Camping Site in Solchan Park, Songdo International City, has reopened.
The camping site covers a total area of 38,000㎡ and is equipped with camping decks, auto camping sites, cooking areas, foot water playgrounds, and children's play facilities. There are a total of 56 tent installation spaces, and up to 6 caravans can be used simultaneously.
Considering the COVID-19 situation, facility reservations are accepted up to 50%. Reservations are currently fully booked until the end of May, and reservations for the following month are accepted starting from the 15th of each month.
This camping site was operated by a private business operator from August 2014 but was left unused for a long time after the permit was canceled in September 2016 due to unpaid usage fees. The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority renovated the camping site last year and started paid operations by entrusting it to the Incheon Facilities Corporation.
An official from the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority stated, "In the second half of this year, we plan to expand the caravan and outdoor parking lot, install CCTV, and maintain the coastal walking trail to make it more convenient for users. We will do our best to ensure safety and quarantine so that Songdo International Camping Site operates as a family-friendly space for leisure and relaxation."
