[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] NH-Amundi Asset Management's employee volunteer group, 'Sharing and Volunteering Group (Nabongmo),' announced on the 20th that it delivered regular sponsorship funds to 'Hansarang Disabled Infant Home' in Chowol-eup, Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do. As part of NH Nonghyup Financial Group's 'Let's Do ESG' campaign for social value and green finance, the company also participated alongside employees' voluntary sharing and donations.
'Sharing and Volunteering Group (Nabongmo)' was voluntarily formed by employees at the end of 2018 to convey love to neighbors in need and make a sound contribution to society. This year, due to the spread of COVID-19, instead of visiting volunteer activities, they replaced it by sponsoring strollers for disabled children, daily necessities, and agricultural products.
A Nabongmo official said, "It is very regrettable that we could not share our hearts directly with the infants due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, but we hope this sharing has been a small help for the infants to live healthy lives," adding, "We will continue to maintain a precious relationship with Hansarang Disabled Infant Home and carry out various volunteer activities within the scope of following quarantine rules."
In addition, NH-Amundi Asset Management is promoting various social contribution activities to fulfill Nonghyup's public role. Every year, it provides practical help to farming households through assistance during busy farming seasons and purchasing agricultural products. Recently, it also conducted a flower consumption promotion campaign to support flower farmers struggling due to COVID-19. This year, it plans to continuously strengthen its S (social value) capabilities as a leading domestic ESG asset management company by enhancing support for eco-friendly and low-carbon-oriented farms.
