According to Gwangju City on the 20th, as of 2 p.m. that day, 8 people were consecutively confirmed positive and classified as Gwangju cases 2300 to 2307.
The infection routes of the new confirmed cases vary, including a Damyang acquaintance gathering, unknown routes, Gwangju case 2286, Seoul Dobong-gu case 1089, and Jeonnam case 1008.
With the addition of Gwangju cases 2302 and 2303 related to the Damyang acquaintance gathering, the cumulative number of confirmed cases increased to 45.
The quarantine authorities stated that the two newly added cases developed symptoms while under self-quarantine.
Gwangju cases 2301, 2304, and 2306 were registered as contacts of confirmed cases from Gwangju or other regions.
Gwangju case 2301 is a contact of Gwangju case 2286, who was confirmed positive on the 18th. The infection route of Gwangju case 2286 is under investigation.
Gwangju case 2304 was found to have contacted Dobong-gu case 1086, and the infection source of the Dobong-gu confirmed case is under investigation.
Gwangju case 2306's infection route is Jeonnam case 1008.
In addition, three confirmed cases with unknown infection routes appeared: Gwangju cases 2300, 2305, and 2307.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gwangju area reached 2,307.
