"Strengthening User-Centered Services... Enhancing Agricultural Product Supply and Demand Management Functions"

[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) announced on the 20th that it has revamped the homepage of 'Nongnet,' an agricultural big data analysis system.

aT explained that the revamp focused on user-centered data analysis functions, expanding the range of items covered by the service, and providing various visualization contents based on maps.

For example, in the data analysis service, when users set desired criteria such as market or corporation, numerical values like prices are provided along with graphs visualized by variety and region. This allows users to compare and analyze visualization contents to make data-driven decisions.

The items for information provision have been expanded from the previous focus on five major vegetables to about 330 items traded in public wholesale markets nationwide. A search service was also added to enable users to view information such as prices and shipment volumes at once through the item search window.

Additionally, production and distribution information is provided based on the map of the Republic of Korea, and contents such as online agricultural product search keyword mentions and online shopping mall product analysis are offered.

Lee Won-gi, head of aT's Digital Innovation Division, said, "Nongnet has built big data on 78 types of agricultural products, including production volume and import-export quantities by item," adding, "We will further advance Nongnet to strengthen agricultural product supply and demand management functions."
