Ajoo Industrial's 'New Material Concrete' Applied at The Hyundai Seoul

[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] Ajou Industry announced on the 20th that its 'Concrete Lab' has been applied to the cosmetics store on the 1st floor of The Hyundai Seoul. Concrete Lab is an ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) interior material developed by Ajou Industry.

The UHPC applied at The Hyundai Seoul has a compressive strength about six times higher than that of ordinary concrete. It is highly durable, with almost no deterioration or corrosion. Compared to conventional concrete, it has higher strength and reduces carbon emissions by about 20-30%, making it an eco-friendly material.

Its aesthetics are also excellent. The UHPC at The Hyundai Seoul features colors rarely seen in traditional stone materials, creating a natural and luxurious atmosphere, according to the company. Unlike traditional stone materials that could only offer limited designs due to material constraints, UHPC can apply any desired color.

An Ajou Industry official said, "UHPC, which has excellent strength, durability, and flexibility, was applied at The Hyundai Seoul and achieved good results," adding, "We plan to expand its application through various spaces in the future."
