Signed MOU with Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, Conducting Specialized Training and Practical Sessions
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Hyundai Livart, a total interior company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on the 20th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, which provides vocational education services, to foster 'home interior construction experts' and create jobs.
'Home interior construction experts' refer to specialized professionals who handle the entire process from customer consultation to construction and supervision in the home interior field.
Through this agreement, Hyundai Livart and the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation will select a total of 80 trainees (4 sessions, 20 per session) by September and provide education and practical training related to home interior construction.
The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation will conduct 180 hours of training in architecture, woodworking, and furniture construction skills through the entrusted educational institution, Korea Construction Vocational School. Hyundai Livart will provide specialized training to impart customer service mindset and furniture construction know-how, and will produce separate video content to offer to the trainees.
Additionally, trainees who complete all courses will receive three weeks of on-site practical training at Hyundai Livart's construction sites. In particular, educational auxiliary materials worth approximately 20 million KRW (such as kitchen furniture) necessary for training and practice will also be provided.
A Hyundai Livart official said, "Although the home interior market is continuously growing, there is currently a shortage of skilled interior experts," adding, "We decided to support the fostering of home interior construction experts to help construction companies facing recruitment difficulties."
