Iljin Composite Materials Changes Company Name to 'Iljin Highsolus'

[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] Iljin Composite Materials announced on the 20th that it will change its company name to 'Iljin Hysolus.'

Hysolus is a compound word combining 'high,' meaning elevated, 'hydrogen,' the English term for hydrogen, and 'solution,' meaning answer. According to the company, the new name reflects its determination to advance as a hydrogen fuel storage solution company.

Iljin Hysolus has been exclusively supplying hydrogen tanks for Hyundai Motor Company's Tucson hydrogen electric vehicle since 2014 and for the hydrogen electric vehicle Nexo. Since November last year, it has also been supplying hydrogen fuel storage solutions for Hyundai Motor Company's next-generation hydrogen buses.

Additionally, Iljin Hysolus is expanding its product portfolio to include hydrogen fuel storage solutions for drones, railways, and ships, as well as hydrogen logistics equipment such as the 'Tube Skid.'

Hong-sang Ahn, CEO of Iljin Hysolus, said, "With this name change, all employees will renew their commitment to a fresh start," adding, "We will lead an eco-friendly future society with the world's best hydrogen fuel storage solution technology, befitting our new name."
