Kia Launches 'The New K3' with Enhanced Features Starting at 17.38 Million KRW

[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Kia unveiled the compact sedan 'The New K3' on the 20th and officially began sales. Kia revealed the actual vehicle of The New K3 at a cafe in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, in the morning. The New K3 is a product improvement model released by Kia for the first time in three years since 2018.

The K3 is a model that shares the compact sedan market in the domestic market along with the Avante, but sales had slowed down after the launch of the 7th generation Avante last year. In fact, the K3 sales volume in the first quarter was about 4,500 units, significantly lower than the Avante's approximately 20,000 units.

The New K3, revealed for the first time in person on this day, featured a sleeker and more sophisticated exterior. The front connected slim LED headlights and the radiator grille to create a wide image, and the daytime running lights symbolizing speed and the bumper lower part reminiscent of fighter jet wings stood out. The GT model newly applied a radiator grille and bumper lower part with red accents on the front, further enhancing the dynamic image.

The vehicle's interior also advanced significantly. Inside, it is equipped with a 10.25-inch large UVO navigation screen and a 10.25-inch supervision cluster, improving the driver's visibility while creating a high-tech atmosphere.

The New K3 is also equipped with various safety and convenience features. Highway Driving Assist (HDA), Lane Following Assist (LFA), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Safe Exit Warning (SEW), and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) have been added.

The price of The New K3, based on a 3.5% individual consumption tax, is 17.38 million KRW for the 1.6 gasoline Trendy model, 19.58 million KRW for Prestige, 22.38 million KRW for Noblesse, and 24.25 million KRW for Signature. The GT model is priced at 25.82 million KRW for the Signature trim.
