POSCO 1% Sharing Foundation Supports Collaboration Between Disabled Artists and YouTubers

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] The POSCO 1% Sharing Foundation announced on the 20th that it will support collaboration between disabled artists and YouTube creators.

As the second project of "Encounters Become Art," which recorded a cumulative 7 million views last year, disabled artists active in various fields such as visual arts and music will participate under the theme "Art Different Through Color, Artists Different Through Color." Twelve disabled artist teams, including Im Seon-gyun and Im Je-gyun (flute and trumpet), Kim Ji-hee (guitar), Kim Hyeong-hee (Western painting), Kang Hye-ra (dance), Kim Geon-ho (piano), and Im Gyeong-sik (calligraphy), will participate, along with 11 YouTube creators such as Big Marble and Kkulkkul Seon-a.

The foundation selected participants based on recommendations from organizations such as the Korea Disabled Artists Association, and each team will produce and release one collaboration video with a YouTube creator and one story video. Starting with a teaser video on this day, 24 videos featuring two teams each month will be uploaded from next month through October. These will be released on POSCO TV's YouTube channel and each creator's personal channel. The videos will be available on the foundation's website starting the 22nd. The foundation will also support the sale of souvenirs (goods) made using artworks from artists featured in seasons 1 and 2.
