[Asia Economy Reporter Joeslgina] LG Uplus announced on the 20th that it will provide the ontact kids concert "Kongsuni and Friends' Musical Journey" VOD on U+ Kids Land in celebration of Family Month and Children's Day in May.
The musical "Kongsuni and Friends' Musical Journey" is an original content jointly produced by LG Uplus and Lotte Cultural Foundation, featuring popular characters loved by children such as Kongsuni, Secret Jouju, and Tobot V.
Every year, a children's concert with a capacity of 2,000 seats was held at the Lotte Concert Hall on Children's Day, but this year, considering the difficulty of attending due to COVID-19, it was planned as an "ontact concert" that can be watched at home.
This concert is characterized by videos closely filmed with multiple cameras capturing the actors' movements combined with animation. Along with cartoon theme songs, the fantastic classical music performance by the orchestra is harmonized so that children can enjoy it together in a comfortable place.
The online performance "Kongsuni and Friends' Musical Journey" can be purchased as VOD (price 14,300 KRW, VAT included) from April 21 through U+tv, U+ Kids Land, Lotte Home Shopping, etc., and can be kept and watched, or viewed by installing the U+ Kids Land app on a smartphone.
To celebrate Children's Day, LG Uplus also provides more than 600 popular character rhythm and dance songs content such as Kongsuni, Octonauts, and Momkaturi for free to customers using U+ Kids Land on U+tv and mobile apps.
Moon Hyun-il, head of the Kids Land business at LG Uplus, said, "We hope this performance content will allow children who cannot go to the theater due to COVID-19 to enjoy it at home with their families," and added, "We will continue to provide beneficial and differentiated content for children."
