Lotte Homeshopping donated 70 million KRW to the Korea Disabled Foundation on the 19th for the Dream Voice project, which produces audio books for visually impaired children.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 20th that it has donated 70 million KRW to the Korea Disabled Foundation for the Dream Voice project, which produces audio books for visually impaired children.
This donation will be used for the production of audio books for visually impaired children. With the participation of more than 20 broadcasting experts, including Lotte Homeshopping hosts, 1,000 sets of audio books will be produced by December and distributed to welfare facilities related to disabled children.
Since 2015, Lotte Homeshopping has been operating the Dream Voice audio book production project in collaboration with the Korea Disabled Foundation to provide visually impaired children with broader learning and educational opportunities. Audio books are produced mainly based on textbooks for visually impaired children who face many learning restrictions due to their disabilities. In the future, various support activities will be carried out, including operating Dream Voice supporters that customers can participate in.
Lee Wan-shin, CEO of Lotte Homeshopping, said, “We have been supporting the audio book production project since 2015 to improve cultural accessibility for visually impaired children,” and added, “We will continue to carry out various sharing activities to raise interest and understanding of disabled children.”
