Lotte Hotel Launches 'Save the Earth Package' for Earth Day

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Hotel announced on the 20th that it will launch a special package to promote an eco-friendly stay culture in celebration of Earth Day.

The "Save the Earth Package," available until Environment Day on June 5, offers hotel-specific benefits along with a common perk of one Lotte Hotel Yami Bag. The Yami Bag is an eco-friendly insulated bag upcycled from PET bottles collected at the hotel. In collaboration with the eco-friendly venture Aimt, a plastic recycling system has been established. This package is sold at five Lotte Hotel locations (Seoul, World, Ulsan, Jeju, Busan), three L7 Hotel locations (Myeongdong, Hongdae, Gangnam), and seven Lotte City Hotel locations (Mapo, Gimpo Airport, Jeju, Daejeon, Guro, Myeongdong, Ulsan).

Two green campaigns are also underway, allowing customers to participate directly in eco-friendly activities. During the package stay period, customers can join the campaign by performing eco-friendly actions such as carrying a personal tumbler and removing PET bottle labels for recycling, then sending an email with a certification photo and a brief comment. Among the participants, selected customers will have donations made in their names.

A Lotte Hotel representative said, "We continuously carry out various ESG management activities such as eco-friendly packaging and the Eco Traveler Project," adding, "This promotion planned for Earth Day will provide customers with a chance to enjoy a comfortable rest while also thinking about the global environment."
