[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] A man in his 20s who stabbed a female coworker multiple times with a weapon has been arrested by the police.
The Ansan Danwon Police Station in Gyeonggi announced on the 19th that they have detained and are investigating a man in his 20s, identified as A, on suspicion of attempted murder.
A is accused of wildly wielding a weapon at B, a woman in her 30s who is his coworker, in front of a multi-family house in Seonbu-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan City, where B lives, around 6:30 PM the previous day.
It was investigated that A secretly waited in front of the multi-family house and committed the crime when B came out of the house to go out.
B, the victim of the attack, was taken to the hospital and is reported to be in critical condition.
A fled immediately after the crime in a rental car he had used but was caught by the police at his home in Siheung City around 1:30 AM that day.
It was confirmed that A and B are coworkers.
The police plan to investigate A's motive for the crime on the same day.
