Daedong Hospital Spine Center Director Jeong Dong-moon Listed in 'Marquis Who's Who'

The World's Top 3 Biographical Dictionaries Selecting the Top 3% Individuals Annually

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Jeong Dong-moon, head of the Spine Center at Daedong Hospital (Hospital Director Park Kyung-hwan) and a neurosurgery specialist, has been listed in the ‘2021 Marquis Who's Who,’ one of the world's top three biographical directories.

Marquis Who's Who in the World, established in 1899, is a publishing company that annually produces biographical directories and databases of professionals worldwide, including medical doctors, inventors, and scientists.

It selects the top 3% of individuals in various fields such as medicine, economics, politics, science, society, and arts based on their career, awards, and social contributions, and registers their profiles and achievements.

Daedong Hospital recruited neurosurgery specialist Jeong Dong-moon in February from the Spine Centers of Seoul Asan Medical Center and Good Gang-an Hospital to strengthen its Spine Center for improving the health and medical services of local spine disease patients.

Dr. Jeong treats patients based on his extensive clinical experience with spinal diseases such as cervical and lumbar disc herniation, stenosis, spinal tumors, and scoliosis.

In 2014, he participated in a medical volunteer team for scoliosis surgery in the Dominican Republic, promoting Korea's excellent medical technology, and has continued research on spinal diseases by publishing outstanding papers such as ‘Diagnostic clue of meningeal melanocytoma: case report and review of literature.’

He is actively involved in research and development on spinal diseases through organizations including the Korean Neurosurgical Society, Korean Spinal Neurosurgery Society, Korean Spinal Osteoporosis Research Society, Korean Spinal Deformity Research Society, Korean Cervical Spine Research Society, and Korean Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Dr. Jeong said, “It is a personal honor to be listed in such a globally prestigious biographical directory,” and added, “I plan to build a specialized Spine Center by conducting deeper clinical research and introducing diverse and advanced treatment methods.”
