In March 2016, at the Chosun University branch general meeting, it was decided to accumulate proceeds from the sale of recyclables and donate them as scholarships, and this is the second time since donating 20 million won in 2018.
Chosun University announced that it held a related donation ceremony on the morning of the 19th at the Cheongchul Room on campus.
At the donation ceremony, Park Sang-jin, head of the Gwangju Regional General Labor Union Chosun University Branch, expressed, “Although it is a small token, it was collected with great sincerity, so I hope it will be used well for the development of students and the university.”
In response, Min Young-don, president of Chosun University, said, “I know that you always do your best so that students can study in a good environment, and I am truly grateful that you have even prepared scholarships,” adding, “I will use this valuable sincerity, collected in difficult circumstances, carefully for the students so that it shines.”
Chosun University plans to hold an opportunity for gratitude with the student council in the future and arrange a scholarship award ceremony after selecting scholarship recipients.
Meanwhile, at the donation ceremony, Park Sang-jin, head of the Gwangju Regional General Labor Union Chosun University Branch, Kim Yang-soon, office manager, Yoo Taek-jong, Yoon Kwang-soon, Kim Eun-ok, delegates, and from the university, President Min Young-don, Park Sang-soon, director of general affairs management, and Kim Cheol-hong, director of facility management, attended.
