[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Gwangju University announced on the 19th that Professor Song Chang-young of the Department of Architecture (Graduate School of Disaster Safety) has been appointed as an advisory member of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries’ “Marine and Fisheries Disaster Safety Forum.”
Professor Song will serve as an advisor in the field of disaster safety, covering ▲policy and law ▲disaster manual consulting ▲various disasters and safety accidents.
The “Marine and Fisheries Disaster Safety Forum” was established to strengthen disaster management capabilities in marine and fisheries sectors and to develop mid- to long-term policies through a public-private-academic cooperative system.
As an expert in disaster safety, Professor Song is active as a central government and local government disaster management evaluation committee member and as a judge for major disaster safety policy evaluations at public institutions.
He is also actively engaged in writing related to disaster safety. His publications include over 40 works such as the comic book “A Dignified Safe Society,” Architectural Disaster Prevention Theory, General Theory of Disaster Management, Disaster Safety Humanities, Disaster Safety Theory and Practice, and Disaster Safety A to Z.
