[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, attended the documentary screening of "School Road" at Wangsimni CGV located in Haengdang-dong at 11 a.m. on the 19th.

In celebration of Disability Day this month, the district organized various events, and on the 19th, held a documentary screening of the film "School Road," which depicts the love and cries of mothers for their children with developmental disabilities, attended by 99 people including members of the Seoul Parents' Association for the Disabled, Seongdong branch.

Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, "It is important to understand the difficulties faced by people with disabilities and for the local community to work together to solve these problems," adding, "I hope this screening will be an opportunity to empathize with families of people with developmental disabilities, and we will continue to promote various welfare services for people with developmental disabilities who are going through even more difficult times due to COVID-19."

Last November, the district distributed 'Smart Insoles' equipped with IoT services featuring GPS functionality to 40 people with developmental disabilities to prepare for potential disappearances.

Additionally, in celebration of Disability Day on the 20th, since the 1st of this month, the district has been distributing "Guide Dog Access Welcome" stickers and is making every effort to create a safe and convenient city for people with disabilities.
