Discount of 3,000 KRW per donated clothing item for customers who book and stay by the 5th
Donated clothes support underprivileged groups domestically and internationally through the non-profit organization 'Otkkan'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Hotel Cappuccino announced on the 19th that it will run the 'Be an Angel' project, offering discounts on accommodation fees when guests donate clothes they no longer wear, until the 25th.
In line with the eco-friendly era, Hotel Cappuccino operates a clothing donation box in the lobby in partnership with 'Otkkan,' a non-profit organization under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Anyone visiting the hotel can donate, and the donated clothes are distributed to underprivileged groups both domestically and abroad through Otkkan.
Hotel Cappuccino stated that this project is being carried out to encourage participation in donations and add value to staycations. Customers wishing to participate can select their stay dates by the 25th on the hotel's official website and choose the 'Donate old clothes, get 30,000 KRW off' option at the final step of booking. Upon check-in, presenting the clothes to be donated at the front desk allows a discount of 3,000 KRW per item, up to a maximum of 10 items. Torn or stained clothes, underwear, socks, hats, dolls, bags, blankets, pillows, and similar items are excluded from donation.
During the same period, a certification event for clothing donation participation is also held. After donating clothes in the donation box set up in the lobby, participants take a certification photo and upload it to their personal Instagram with the hashtags #HotelCappuccino #AddingValueToTravel to complete participation. On the 26th, one winner will be drawn to receive a 'Cappuccino King' room accommodation voucher.
Yoo Kyung-jin, General Manager of Hotel Cappuccino, said, "Amid the increasingly serious environmental issues, we prepared this campaign to participate in sharing and environmental protection through clothing recycling," adding, "We will continue to become a shared value-creating hotel that adds value to customers' experiences through various projects contributing to the social community."
