[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City is operating the online mall 'Incheon Jikgu' to support the promotion of products from local small business owners.
The city has significantly revamped the online mall 'Incheon Goods,' which was launched as an additional service on the regional currency platform 'Incheon e-eum' in 2019, and newly launched Incheon Jikgu.
Incheon Jikgu means that products from Incheon small business owners and SMEs in food, beauty, fashion, furniture, and more can be purchased directly without distribution margins. Incheon e-eum users can buy products with a simple payment method on mobile without a separate membership registration process.
Small business owners and SMEs can pioneer online sales channels without paying entry fees, sales commissions, or promotional costs, and consumers can purchase excellent products produced locally at affordable prices along with a 10% cashback benefit on the purchase amount.
As part of the Incheon Jikgu launch event until the 2nd of next month, various benefits such as double cashback of 20%, a 3,000 KRW first purchase thank-you coupon, shipping support for 50 people, prizes worth about 1.5 million KRW, relay special offers, and 1+1 special sales will be provided.
Meanwhile, to revitalize Incheon Jikgu, the city signed a business agreement with Incheon Technopark, the Federation of Small Businesses, and the Incheon Promising Enterprises Association.
Incheon Technopark will support mentoring and marketing for tenant companies, and the Federation of Small Businesses and the Incheon Promising Enterprises Association will actively cooperate in guiding and promoting new tenants.
Mayor Park Namchun said, "I hope that small business owners and SMEs can enhance their online sales competitiveness by receiving support for entry into Incheon Jikgu," adding, "Furthermore, I expect Incheon e-eum, which connects consumers with excellent products produced locally, to develop further as a regional community platform."
