[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] President Moon Jae-in will attend the climate summit held via video conference on the 22nd, invited by U.S. President Joe Biden.


Park Kyung-mi, spokesperson for the Blue House, stated on the 19th, "The climate summit will be attended by leaders of major economies, including our country," adding, "From 9 PM to 11 PM on the 22nd, the President will explain the commitment to enhancing climate goals and strengthening climate action."


Spokesperson Park explained, "He plans to request the participation and interest of the international community, including the U.S., in the 'P4G (Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030)' meeting hosted at the end of May," and added, "Attending this meeting is an opportunity to contribute to strengthening the Korea-U.S. alliance and to further solidify our position as a leading country in climate action."
