According to the Gwangju Metropolitan City quarantine authorities on the 19th, it was confirmed during the epidemiological investigation that Jeonnam confirmed case number 989, who is Lee's executive secretary, visited a nightlife venue in the Sangmu district of Seo-gu, Gwangju on the 9th.
On the 9th, Jeonnam case number 989 visited the nightlife establishment with a total of five people, including himself. This violated the quarantine rule prohibiting private gatherings of five or more people.
Among the group of five, three people, three employees of the nightlife establishment, one other customer who had contact with one of the employees, were also confirmed positive. Furthermore, the infection spread to the family of one of the employees.
In total, ten confirmed cases emerged from this nightlife establishment.
The quarantine authorities confirmed that the entry log was poorly maintained and plan to impose fines on the group of five including Jeonnam case number 989 and the nightlife establishment for violating quarantine rules such as the ban on private gatherings of five or more people.
However, since the nightlife establishment owner and all employees are currently under self-quarantine, detailed investigations into violations of quarantine rules such as mask-wearing will be conducted once the self-quarantine period ends.
