IBK, Providing Gift Certificates and More When Foreigners Using Electronic Wallets Exchange Currency

Non-face-to-face Currency Exchange Event for 200 Customers Using Electronic Wallet (ONE Wallet)

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 19th that it will hold a non-face-to-face currency exchange event for foreign customers until June 30.

The event targets customers who use the electronic wallet (ONE Wallet) service on IBK's foreigner-only mobile banking app, 'I-ONE Bank Global.'

The electronic wallet service is a foreigner-exclusive service that allows currency exchange, storage, withdrawal, KRW re-exchange, and overseas remittance anytime without a foreign currency account.

Currency exchange and storage are available for a total of 11 currencies (USD, JPY, EUR, CNY, GBP, AUD, NZD, CAD, HKD, SGD, THB). Currency exchange transactions can be made up to 1 million KRW per day, and storage is allowed up to a maximum of 5,000 USD equivalent. Additionally, up to 80% preferential exchange rates are offered for major currencies (USD, EUR, JPY) currency exchange and KRW re-exchange.

The event is divided into three rounds (▲1st round April 16?30 ▲2nd round May 1?31 ▲3rd round June 1?30). For each round, ▲among first-time users, 30 people each in the 1st and 2nd rounds and 20 people in the 3rd round will be selected by lottery to receive a 20,000 KRW mobile convenience store gift card, ▲customers with the highest number of currency exchange transactions (20 people) and those with the highest number of overseas remittance transactions (20 people) will each receive a 10,000 KRW mobile convenience store gift card.
