Public Procurement Service, Nara Market Win-Win Discount Event... Up to 55% on 6,805 Products

[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Public Procurement Service announced on the 19th that it will hold the '2021 Nara Market Win-Win Sale' event from the 26th of this month to the 21st of next month.

The event is held with the purpose of overcoming the COVID-19 crisis and supporting early fiscal execution. During the event, 6,805 products from 379 companies will be sold. These products are mainly from small and medium-sized enterprises supplying public institutions, and this year, the number of participating companies increased by 144% and the number of products by 227% compared to the previous year.

In particular, the discount rate per product is mainly set between 10% and 15%, with some items discounted up to 55%.

This year, reflecting the current situation where SMEs are facing business difficulties due to COVID-19, the Public Procurement Service expanded participation in the Win-Win Sale event to include all Nara Market contract sectors such as excellent products and commercial software industries, unlike previous years when it was limited to multiple award schedule (MAS) companies.

Additionally, to increase demand institutions' interest and activate purchases, the Public Procurement Service established a dedicated planning mall menu for the 'Win-Win Sale' within Nara Market, and ensured that discounted event products can be prioritized during integrated searches and category searches on Nara Market, according to the Public Procurement Service.

Kim Jeong-woo, Administrator of the Public Procurement Service, said, “I hope the Nara Market Win-Win Sale can serve as a new sales channel for SMEs struggling due to COVID-19,” and added, “We ask for active participation from each institution.”
