[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] NCSoft recently reported 8 confirmed COVID-19 cases, prompting the entire company to switch to remote work.
On the 19th, NCSoft stated that 8 employees working at the company's satellite office, Samhwan Highpex, tested positive for COVID-19 on the holiday of the 17th.
About 4,000 NCSoft employees work dispersed across the NC headquarters building in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do (Sampyeong-dong R&D Center), as well as the Pangyo Mirae Asset Center, Alpharium Tower, and Samhwan Highpex. The health authorities are conducting thorough disinfection and epidemiological investigations.
From that day, NCSoft began company-wide remote work. This comes just one week after returning to a 'rotational remote work system' on the 12th, following a five-day-a-week remote work schedule.
