On this day, Kia introduced its new logo embodying its future vision and revealed a customer-centric strategy to be implemented in China. The newly redesigned Kia logo removes the boundaries of the previous logo and expresses confidence in the future through a symmetrical design in all directions. Additionally, by connecting all letters in a single line, it reflects a promise to continuously evolve according to customer demands, and the upward rightward design symbolizes the will to grow the brand for and with customers.
At the motor show, Kia also unveiled the EV6, its first dedicated electric vehicle that presents the company's blueprint for next-generation mobility, for the first time in China. Starting with the EV6, Kia plans to launch electric vehicles annually from next year and aims to establish a total of eight electrified lineups by 2030, leading the electrification of the Chinese automobile market.
The EV6 symbolizes Kia's new electrification and is built on the dedicated electric vehicle platform E-GMP. The EV6 can travel over 100 km with a 4-minute 30-second charge, and the GT model boasts powerful performance with a zero-to-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.5 seconds. The driving range per charge exceeds 510 km based on the European WLTP certification standard, and it features an 800V fast-charging system and V2L (Vehicle To Load) functionality.
