Building Bonds: University Students Participate Directly in Corporate Branding Activities
Applications Open Until May 2, Final Selected Participants Join Kickoff Ceremony in May and Engage for 6 Months
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] LG Uplus announced on the 19th that it is recruiting the 8th generation of 'Yudaegam (Uplus University Student Emotional Supporters)' until the 2nd of next month. Yudaegam is a university student digital content planning and promotion external activity where Generation Z directly participates in corporate branding activities.
Since October 2017, Yudaegam has been continuously operated as an activity where university students produce original digital content in the voice of the MZ generation. They create SNS content on various topics such as differentiated U+ services and university students' daily lives, and promote it through ▲Yudaegam official Instagram ▲Yudaegam official Post ▲LG Uplus official YouTube channel ▲LG Uplus official blog. They also participate in LG Uplus brand events and employee CSR activities, planning and executing brand activities directly.
The 8th generation of Yudaegam is open to any domestic university students, on leave, or international students who have a public Instagram account. Preference is given to university students with digital content planning and production capabilities and those interested in LG Uplus and brand activities. Applicants can refer to the Yudaegam 8th generation recruitment post on the official Yudaegam Post and submit an online application form along with a pre-mission by midnight on the 2nd of next month.
Subsequently, interview candidates will be announced on May 7, interviews will be held on the 14th, and the final successful candidates will be announced on the 17th. The selected participants will have a non-face-to-face inauguration ceremony on the 21st and will be active for a total of six months until October. Interview and inauguration schedules may change depending on the COVID-19 situation.
University students selected as the 8th generation of Yudaegam will receive training in content planning, production, and marketing practical skills to develop their capabilities as prospective marketers during the activity period. At the same time, they will have opportunities to understand the telecommunications industry's practical work and experience corporate culture through mentoring by employees in various roles such as marketing, product planning, and HR. Additionally, a monthly activity allowance of 200,000 KRW per person will be provided. After the activity ends, all participants will receive an official certificate of completion, and separate awards will be given to the best performers and teams. Additional inquiries can be made through the operation office, email, or Instagram.
Kim Heejin, head of LG Uplus Brand Communication Team, said, "Yudaegam is meaningful in that it goes beyond a simple external activity to provide university students with an opportunity to learn marketing practical skills and grow together. We look forward to the enthusiastic participation of university students who want to plan and produce sincere content with both praise and constructive criticism about Uplus, along with various educational programs for the 8th generation."
