[Click eStock] "Mirae Company, All-Solid-State Battery Is Just the Beginning"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Research Alom on the 19th stated that Mirae Company is an undervalued company among all-solid-state battery-related companies and suggested a target price of 54,600 KRW, about 48% higher than the current stock price.

Researcher Choi Seonghwan of Research Alom analyzed in the report on the same day, “The rise in Mirae Company's stock price is the result of increased interest in the company, which is undervalued among all-solid-state battery-related companies, as the government's electric vehicle battery promotion plan is said to be imminent.”

Mirae Company operates businesses such as display and semiconductor equipment, surgical robots, and sensors. The display equipment division accounts for about 80% of total sales. In terms of display technology, it is the only domestic company that possesses integrated technologies including processing, inspection, and laser, applicable to various organic light-emitting diode (OLED) products and designs ranging from TVs to devices.

Recently, attention has been drawn as large-scale order announcements continue following aggressive investment announcements by Samsung Display and Chinese display companies. Samsung Display announced an investment of 13 trillion KRW in QD OLED by 2025, and LG Display announced an additional investment of 3 trillion KRW in 10.5-generation OLED.

Besides the display business, the new business sector is also attracting attention. In February, Mirae Company launched the 3D camera ‘S-Cube’ equipped with Samsung Electronics’ ToF sensor and MR1000. S-Cube is expected to be applicable in various markets such as security, medical, and logistics in the future.

There is also analysis that S-Cube has a high possibility of being installed in smartphones and VR devices in the future. Last year, Samsung Electronics registered the trademark for the ‘Galaxy Space’ brand and is also focusing on developing 5G VR devices. Mirae Company is expected to attract attention as the only company in the industry that owns a 3D camera compatible with Samsung Electronics’ ToF sensor.

Researcher Choi said, “Mirae Company is continuing to receive large orders this year, and it is understood that meaningful sales can be generated in new businesses, so attention is requested.”
