Daeyu Plus Signs Business Agreement with Electric Charger Manufacturer Signet EV

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunjin Jeong] Daeyu Plus announced on the 19th that it has signed a business agreement with Signet EV, a global electric vehicle charger manufacturer, and will officially start charger sales and charging business.

Daeyu Plus signed a business agreement for the sales of all Signet EV products, production of slow chargers, and maintenance of Signet EV installed products. Established in 2016, Signet EV developed a 350kW ultra-fast charger and was the first in the world to obtain US certification in 2018. It holds more than 50% market share in the US, the largest market for ultra-fast chargers.

This business agreement with Signet EV includes the production and sales of Signet EV’s 7.5kW home and personal chargers, which have been recognized for their technology in the global market, as well as maintenance services for all Signet EV products sold and installed domestically. Daeyu Plus stated that this is expected to contribute to the expansion of infrastructure and improvement of the charging environment in the domestic electric vehicle charging market.

Daeyu Plus plans to expand its electric vehicle charging business domestically and internationally in partnership with strategic business partner Signet EV and Starcop, starting with △building a charging infrastructure ecosystem △providing services such as supply, installation, and maintenance of electric vehicle chargers through its own organization △operating charging stations, fare calculation, and providing charging information services △manufacturing emergency charging cables, among other business areas related to the electric vehicle charging business.

Previously, Daeyu Plus formed a consortium with Starcop, which produces the 3.5kW easy plug-type charger ChargeCon, and entered the electric vehicle charger, charging cable manufacturing, and electric vehicle charging service business. In January, to officially enter the charging infrastructure business, it completed registration as an electric vehicle charging business operator with the Smart Grid Association and was also registered as a business operator for the 2021 Ministry of Environment slow charger subsidy project in partnership with Starcop.
