Youth Side Project Activities, Support for Untact Education Environment... Seoul Institute, 10 Citizen Teams Present 'Small Research'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Institute announced on the 19th that it will hold the results presentation meeting for the second half of 2020's 'Small Research, Good Seoul' support project on the 20th in the Seoul Institute's medium conference room.

'Small Research, Good Seoul' has been providing citizens with opportunities to directly research everyday problems since 2012, supporting the discovery of life-oriented policies. This event shares the results of 10 small but meaningful research projects conducted over the past six months through discussions between citizen researchers and Seoul Institute experts in the relevant fields, and proposes policies to solve the issues.

Regarding the 2020 second half planning theme, 'Untact City, Changes in Seoul,' research results will be presented on 'Changes and Actual Conditions of Medical Support for Vulnerable Groups,' 'Learning Challenges Experienced by Hearing-Impaired University Students in the COVID-19 Untact Era,' and 'Survey on the Learning Support Environment for Children at Seoul Regional Childcare Centers under Untact Educational Environments.'

To prevent COVID-19 infection, the presentation meeting will minimize the number of attendees and be broadcast live so that many citizens can share the event. Anyone can join the presentation through the Seoul Institute's official YouTube channel and the Seoul Institute website (www.si.re.kr).

Acting Director Yoo Ki-young stated, "Due to COVID-19, the transition to the untact era has accelerated, and I believe the research results of this 'Small Research, Good Seoul,' based on citizens' perspectives and experiences in preparing for Seoul's changes, will be very helpful." He added, "The efforts of citizen researchers are an important driving force in creating a better Seoul amid rapid changes in the times."
