According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 18th, three locally transmitted cases were confirmed positive for COVID-19 in the afternoon and were classified as cases 2289 to 2291.
Case 2289 was confirmed to be related to the "Damyang acquaintances gathering," which is presumed to have originated from the office of Assemblyman Lee Gae-ho in Damyang.
A total of 18 cases in the Gwangju area have been confirmed in connection with the Damyang acquaintances gathering.
Case 2290 is a contact of case 2286, who was confirmed earlier that day, and case 2291 is related to a religious facility in Gangnam-gu.
As of 6 p.m. in the Gwangju area, 3 out of the 7 cases confirmed that day were related to the Damyang gathering.
