According to Gwangju City on the 18th, person A, who attended the Gwangju City Public-Private Cooperation Council on that day, was confirmed to be infected with COVID-19.


Person A is known to have participated in the launch ceremony held at Gwangju City Hall on the 15th as a council member.


The council is an organization where the public and private sectors cooperate to resolve various regional issues, with about 100 attendees including Mayor Lee Yong-seop, department heads, and cooperation committee members.


Mayor Lee and other event attendees underwent diagnostic tests and entered self-quarantine.


Gwangju City quarantine authorities plan to conduct tests on all attendees.
