Local Media "No Reports of Casualties Yet"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suhwan] An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 occurred in an area 100 km away from the Iranian nuclear power plant.
On the 18th, the Iran Seismological Center affiliated with Tehran University announced that at 11:11 a.m. local time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 struck near the Genoveh Port in Bushehr Province, southern Iran.
Bushehr Province is the location of Iran's only nuclear power plant. The epicenter was about 100 km away from the nuclear power plant.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) also confirmed that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 occurred at the same time and location.
About 14 minutes after the magnitude 5.9 earthquake, a magnitude 4.5 earthquake followed in the same area.
The Iranian state-run IRNA news agency reported, "Electricity and internet were cut off in some areas of Genoveh Port near the epicenter."
IRNA also added, "In Shiraz, a central city about 200 km from the epicenter, some people felt fear due to the tremors."
The local Mehr news agency reported, "So far, there have been no casualties reported from this earthquake."
