[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Honam University Startup Incubation (BI) Center announced on the 18th that it has been selected for the ‘2021 Startup Incubation Center (BI) Remodeling Support Project’ implemented by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and hosted by the Korea Startup Incubation Association.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups is conducting the ‘Remodeling Support Project’ to improve the incubation environment and functions of BI centers, enhancing not only the resident companies but also the operational effectiveness of the centers.
Honam University plans to invest 130 million KRW to renovate the aging facilities of the BI Center, establish shared consultation rooms, and improve the incubation rooms used by resident companies by reflecting the needs of users to enhance the quality of incubation services.
Kim Seong-su, head of the Honam University BI Center, said, “We will provide a pleasant and stable working environment for startup companies to grow into excellent enterprises, while doing our best to support early-stage startups and build infrastructure.”
