Special Mission Veterans Association Gwangju Branch Conducts COVID-19 Prevention Volunteer Activities

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office announced on the 18th that the Korea Special Mission Veterans Association Gwangju Metropolitan City Branch (Branch Chief Oh Sumyeong) conducted COVID-19 quarantine volunteer activities.

About 20 members, including the branch chief, attended the volunteer activity held at Gwangju Songjeong Station.

Branch Chief Oh Sumyeong said, "In a situation where the nation is facing difficulties due to COVID-19, I consider this activity as a second patriotic service," and added, "We will continue volunteer activities to support local merchants even a little and until the day normal social activities resume."

The Special Mission Veterans Association has been conducting quarantine volunteer activities at Songjeong Station Market once a month since last February.
