[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Seoyoung] Attorney Kwon Kyung-ae, a former member of Minbyun, said, "I hope the day comes when we can question Kim Eo-jun, who demonized the prosecution, and former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk."

On the 17th, Attorney Kwon posted on her Facebook with the title, "The regime has changed, and I have been waiting for this day to come." She continued, "I hope a state investigation will be conducted to determine whether former Minister Cho and Mr. Kim had any influence in creating an interview opportunity that led the public to lie about the fact that former Minister Cho's daughter completed her internship activities."

This appears to point to the explanation given by Cho Min, former Minister Cho's daughter, who appeared on TBS's "Kim Eo-jun's News Factory," hosted by Mr. Kim, in October 2019. Attorney Kwon also mentioned other issues, such as "whether former Minister Cho and his spouse had any influence on arranging the interview with the convenience store clerk, and whether Mr. Kim coached the whistleblower," repeatedly criticizing the suspicions surrounding Mr. Kim and former Minister Cho.

She criticized, "(Mr. Kim and former Minister Cho) demonized the prosecution to maintain the regime." Regarding Mr. Kim's explanation that he receives 2 million won per episode from 'News Factory,' she countered, "The day will come to verify whether that statement itself is a confession that 'I took money and diligently turned the media into false garbage.'"
