[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Federation of SMEs announced on the 18th that it is recruiting companies in the ICT sector struggling to develop overseas markets to participate in the 'China Shanghai CTIS Exhibition.'
The China Shanghai CTIS Exhibition, known as the 'Asian version' of the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition, the US CES, will be held for three days from June 9 to 11 at the New International Expo Center in Shanghai, China. It is a large-scale exhibition featuring major Chinese companies such as Tencent, Xiaomi, and HTC, and is expected to attract about 80,000 visitors.
Considering the COVID-19 situation, the Federation of SMEs plans to support companies so that businesspeople do not have to travel directly but can send products locally in China to meet overseas buyers and conduct export consultations. This project, conducted in a hybrid online and offline format, allows participating SMEs to exhibit products at the exhibition, have proxy consultations through on-site marketing professionals (MDs), and conduct in-depth consultations with overseas buyers via real-time video export consultations.
If selected as one of the final 20 supported companies, they will receive overseas marketing services including ▲joint promotional material production ▲Chinese (English) subtitles and voice editing for product videos ▲transportation of exhibition samples ▲proxy consultations through MDs ▲real-time video export consultations and on-site broadcasting ▲post-event buyer follow-up.
Applications can be submitted online through the 'SME Overseas Exhibition Portal.' For more details, check the SME Overseas Exhibition Portal or the Federation of SMEs website, or contact the Trade Promotion Department.
Jeon Hye-sook, head of the Trade Promotion Department at the Federation of SMEs, stated, "This promising exhibition, held during a time when export activities of SMEs are very limited due to COVID-19, is a great opportunity to develop new sales channels in China," and added, "We hope for the active interest and participation of related SMEs."
