[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 17th at 11:30 AM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the Astronomy and Space Festival held at Nowon Astronomy and Space Science Center in Junggye 2 and 3-dong.

This event, held in April to celebrate Science Month, was scaled down from the annual event due to COVID-19. It was divided into three sessions at 10 AM, 1 PM, and 4 PM, with only 30 elementary school students who had pre-registered allowed to enter each session.

The Astronomy and Space Festival was divided into two parts: enjoying science experiences and enjoying the Astronomy and Space Science Center. The science experience section offered programs such as "My Own Constellation," "Making a Hand Glider," "Spinning Solar System Mobile," and "Viewing the Sun through a Telescope." The Astronomy and Space Science Center section featured tours of the Cosmos Hall, which was newly renovated in March, the planetarium, and a science magic show program.

On that day, Mayor Oh, who visited the Nowon Astronomy and Space Science Center, personally enjoyed a pleasant time experiencing the Cosmos Hall tour and VR space experience with children.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, said, "This festival is a great opportunity and memorable experience to observe the mysteries of the universe within the city," and added, "I hope people visit the Nowon Astronomy and Space Science Center to experience various astronomy science programs."
