With 6 additional second-dose Pfizer vaccine recipients added the previous day, the total number of people who have completed the second dose reached 60,577. Simply summing the first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine results in a cumulative total of 544,810 doses administered.
Currently, vaccinations in Korea are being conducted using AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines.
Since the 15th, 104 additional vaccination centers have been added, bringing the total to 175 centers where vaccinations are being administered to seniors aged 75 and older, as well as residents and workers in elderly care facilities.
With the number of vaccination centers increasing from the previous 71 to more than double, the daily vaccination capacity has increased from 42,600 to 105,000 per day. The Promotion Team expects the vaccination speed to gain momentum accordingly.
