Signing of Talent Development Agreement for Blockchain and Convergence Technology Commercialization

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Pukyong National University and Hoseo University are entering a joint cooperation project to nurture talent for the Graduate School of Technology Management. A convergent technology management innovation ecosystem is expected to be established through key specialized graduate schools in the Southeast and Chungcheong regions.
The Graduate School of Technology Management at Pukyong National University (MOT, Dean Lee Woon-sik) and the Graduate School of Technology Management at Hoseo University (MOT, Dean Lee Jong-won) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) online on the 16th to cultivate talent equipped with practical skills and expertise.
According to this agreement, the two universities plan to cooperate on △ operating a joint education program for commercialization of convergent technologies in the 4th Industrial Revolution (co-learning program) and mutual personnel exchange △ solving on-site corporate issues △ joint efforts for the development of the technology management field.
Pukyong MOT, established in March 2016, has led the cultivation of innovative leaders for the innovative growth of key industries in the Southeast region such as automobile parts, shipbuilding, and machinery, as well as the creation of new industries like blockchain technology commercialization, with the vision of being a "hub for innovation in key industries and creation of startups and new industries in the Southeast region."
It is also building an ecosystem for commercialization of convergent technologies and carrying out projects for creating and spreading region-customized technology management knowledge.
Hoseo MOT has annually attracted excellent personnel from family companies with global competitiveness centered on the semiconductor, display, and automobile industries in the Chungcheong region as new students.
Hoseo University is conducting industry-academia cooperation that produces tangible corporate results based on the ABL (Actual task-Based Learning) education model that solves on-site corporate problems.
Dean Lee Woon-sik of Pukyong MOT said, "We will devote our efforts to nurturing talent that contributes to the development of innovation ecosystems in the Southeast and Chungcheong regions through operating the co-learning program for commercialization of convergent technologies and spreading Hoseo University's excellent industry-academia cooperation model within the region."
Pukyong National University and Hoseo University have been carrying out the project for nurturing specialized personnel for the expansion of commercialization of convergent technologies, led by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, since 2020.
