[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jung Yunsuk, Chairperson of the Women’s Enterprise Support Center, announced on the 16th that the remodeling construction of the Gwangju Women’s Startup Incubation Center has been completed to revitalize women’s entrepreneurship and foster excellent women-led enterprises.
The Gwangju Center, completed in 1992, is an aging building, and due to its outdated facilities, the need for modernization to provide high-quality startup incubation services has been continuously raised.
Accordingly, since December of last year, extensive remodeling construction has been carried out, including improvements to the resident incubation rooms, modernization of restrooms, and installation of women’s convenience spaces.
Chairperson Jung Yunsuk visited the Gwangju Center to thoroughly inspect for any additional improvements and urged that utmost care be taken in operating the Women’s Startup Incubation Center.
Chairperson Jung visited resident companies one by one to listen directly to their difficulties and encourage them, stating, “We will continue to support women-led enterprises so that they can focus on their business activities in a comfortable environment.”
Bae Munja, Director of the Gwangju Center, said, “Through this remodeling construction, we expect to establish a foundation for discovering and attracting outstanding women entrepreneurs and will support customized services for women entrepreneurs.”
The Women’s Enterprise Support Center, established in 2007 under the Act on Support for Women’s Enterprises, provides various services such as information, education, training, workshops, and counseling to promote women’s startups and the activities of women-led enterprises, and is designated as a public-related organization.
