Jong-Bong Geun Appointed as New Director of Newspaper Distribution at Korea Press Foundation

Jung Bong-geun, former senior researcher at the Korea Press Foundation, was inaugurated on the 15th as the Director of Newspaper Distribution at the Korea Press Foundation (Chairman Pyo Wan-soo).

Newly appointed Director Jung graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Journalism and Broadcasting and joined the Korea Press Research Institute, the predecessor of the Korea Press Foundation, in 1987. He subsequently served as head of the Publishing Team, Management Operations Team, and Research and Analysis Team at the Korea Press Foundation, followed by roles as Director of the Advertising Bureau, Director of Media Promotion, and Director of the Media Research Center at the Korea Press Foundation.

The new Director of Newspaper Distribution was appointed after a public recruitment process, recommendation by the foundation’s board of directors, and approval by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The term of office is two years from the date of appointment.
