Signed Business Agreement with Ryan Rocket for AI Banker Development

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Woori Bank announced on the 16th that it has signed a business agreement with Ryan Rocket, a deep learning-based video synthesis technology startup, to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) bank teller.
The AI bank teller uses deep learning technology to synthesize video and audio, creating a virtual bank teller that reflects the appearance, posture, and voice of a specific person. Additionally, it analyzes and understands the voice of customers consulting with the AI bank teller, performing the same role as an actual bank teller during consultations.
The AI bank teller will first be introduced next month in employee training programs and in-house broadcasting, with plans to gradually expand its scope to include smart kiosk video consultation services. To this end, Woori Bank will select employees to serve as AI consultants for smart kiosks, incorporating the employees' appearance and voice into the AI consultants.
A Woori Bank official stated, "We plan to develop AI bank tellers capable of providing customer consultations at the same level as actual bank tellers to enhance customer convenience," adding, "In the future, through the advancement of AI bank tellers, we will expand their roles to various financial tasks such as consultants, examiners, and internal control."
