This briefing session centers around the Korea Tourism Data Lab, a tourism big data platform launched by the organization in February. The content consists of practical training programs focused on big data thinking, big data analysis and insight derivation, and hands-on practice linked to real-world tasks. The program emphasizes strengthening marketing capabilities through the use of the Data Lab and spans a total of 2 days (16 hours).

Starting on the 29th in Gyeongnam (Busan Tourism Enterprise Support Center), the sessions will be held 12 times across 8 regions until August 20th. However, considering COVID-19, the sessions will be limited to 30 participants in spaces where social distancing is possible. For the schedule and registration, please refer to the Korea Tourism Data Lab website.

Do Hyun-ji, head of the Tourism Future Talent Development Team at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, “This will be a great opportunity to enhance capabilities in applying data-driven scientific tourism marketing in practical work,” adding, “Starting in September, new courses will be launched to support the overall digital transformation of the tourism industry, including not only big data but also digital marketing.”
