"Join the Effort to Overcome Blood Supply Shortage" Nongshim Organizes Group Blood Donation for Children with Leukemia and Pediatric Cancer Nongshim employees participated in a blood donation campaign on the 15th.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic causing a blood shortage crisis, Nongshim has supported blood supply by conducting a company-wide blood donation campaign.

On the 15th, Nongshim held blood donation campaigns at its headquarters in Shindaebang-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, as well as at its factories nationwide in Anyang, Anseong, Asan, Gumi, and Busan. They announced that they donated about 300 collected blood donation certificates to the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation. The donated blood donation certificates will be delivered to children with leukemia and pediatric cancer who require transfusions during their treatment process.

This blood donation was carried out as part of Nongshim's support activities for children with leukemia and pediatric cancer, which have been ongoing for four years this year. Since 2018, Nongshim has been supporting Baeksansu mineral water for children with weakened immune systems, currently sending Baeksansu monthly to 300 families of patients and more than 10 support facilities nationwide operated by the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation.

This year, Nongshim is actively expanding its support activities. Currently, Nongshim is holding an art contest for children with leukemia and pediatric cancer. This contest, aimed at encouraging patients and survivors and improving social awareness, is scheduled to hold an awards ceremony in May. Nongshim plans to release a limited edition Baeksansu featuring the winning artworks by the end of this year. A portion of the sales from the limited edition will be donated to social contribution projects.
