Dongseo University and Busan Bar Association Sign Mutual Cooperation Agreement for AI Mobile Forensics Research Institute
On April 14, Dongseo University signed an industry-academic cooperation agreement on 'Mobile Forensics' with the Busan Bar Association at the New Millennium Hall Global Room.

The lawyers' side is a bilateral cooperation project to hire specialized personnel applying forensic techniques from Dongseo University.
Digital forensics is an investigative technique that collects and analyzes data from various digital devices or the internet to secure evidence of crimes.
Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) announced on the 16th that on April 14th, it signed an industry-academic cooperation agreement with the Busan Bar Association (President Hwang Joo-hwan) at the New Millennium Hall Global Room to organically cooperate on all matters related to mobile forensics and seek mutual development.
Attending the event were Dongseo University President Jang Je-guk, Director Moon Mi-kyung of the Artificial Intelligence Mobile Forensics Research Institute, Director Jo Dae-su of Planning and Research, Director Jeong Do-woon of Industry-Academic Cooperation, Professor Lee Hoon-jae of the Department of Information Security, Center Director Kim Yong-ho, along with Busan Bar Association President Hwang Joo-hwan, International Standing Director Choi Jae-won, and Special Advisor Kim Sung-jin.
Dongseo University's 'Artificial Intelligence Mobile Forensics Research Institute' uses the world's top mobile forensic solutions, the 'MD Series (MD-NEXT, MD-RED, MD-LIVE),' ensuring high reliability.
This technique is used by domestic investigative agencies such as the National Police Agency and the Prosecutor's Office, as well as various public institutions organized under special law judicial police.
Through this agreement, Dongseo University's 'Forensics Research Institute' will support tasks such as analyzing digital evidence related to civil and criminal cases in the Busan area and court appraisals.
The Busan Bar Association discussed mutual exchange of human resources, including hiring talent suitable for fieldwork.
President Hwang Joo-hwan said, "There was no place to request digital forensics in the Busan area, but if appraisals are conducted quickly and accurately through this agreement, it will greatly help legal work."
President Jang Je-guk said, "Dongseo University specializes in IT and AI-related fields, and especially if the research institute under the 'Software-Centered University Project Group,' which receives significant support from the government, pioneers the new area of digital forensics, it could become a new strength of the university."
