Coverage for Anticancer Proton Radiation Therapy Costs
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Hana Insurance announced on the 15th that it will launch the 'Non-dividend Hana Fully Covered Cancer Insurance (Bancassurance) (Mobile)' through the Hana Bank OneQ application (app).
Hana Insurance opened bancassurance for corporate general insurance (comprehensive property, comprehensive corporate, package insurance) through face-to-face sales in December last year, and expanded both products and channels by selling long-term insurance products exclusively on mobile within four months.
The 'Non-dividend Hana Fully Covered Cancer Insurance (Bancassurance) (Mobile)' product is a mobile-exclusive product and is Hana Insurance's representative cancer insurance that guarantees the industry's first anti-cancer proton radiation therapy expenses.
Key special contracts include coverage for 'Anti-cancer Proton Radiation Therapy Expenses' up to 30 million KRW, 'Targeted Anti-cancer Drug Approved Treatment Expenses' up to 50 million KRW, and broad five major premium waivers including ▲Cancer (excluding carcinoma in situ) ▲Stroke ▲Acute Myocardial Infarction ▲Disease-related disability over 80% ▲Injury-related disability over 80%. Customers who already have other cancer insurance can additionally subscribe to this product with a premium plan of about 10,000 to 20,000 KRW if their existing coverage lacks treatment expenses, thereby receiving additional coverage.
A Hana Insurance official said, "We will continue to enhance our competitiveness by selling our differentiated products on mobile through ongoing collaboration with Hana Bank."
